Katiba Institute Seeks Court Sanctions Over Alleged Contempt in U.S.-Funded Ebola Facility Case

The Katiba Institute has gone back to the High Court seeking sanctions against Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale and Attorney General Dorcus Odour for allegedly disregarding court orders that halted the construction of a U.S.-funded Ebola quarantine facility in Laikipia, Nanyuki. Despite the orders, construction continues illegally, and the authorities have failed to disclose required documents. The Institute decries a profound disrespect for Kenya's sovereignty and constitutional rule of law.
