Female farmer, tricycle operator rescued from kidnappers in Umuahia

Community youths in Umuawa Alaocha, Umuahia North LGA, Abia State, rescued two kidnapped indigenes, Dennis Izuchukwu (tricycle operator) and Onyinyechi Ekechukwu (farmer), who were abducted by suspected herdsmen on Wednesday. The victims were rescued at midnight after the kidnappers demanded N10 million ransom each. The lawmaker representing Umuahia North, Anderson Akaliro, condemned the invasion and commended the vigilante group and youths for their bravery.
