Ebola: US-Africa Summit Scheduled for Mauritius in July Postponed – La Nouvelle Tribune

The Ebola epidemic declared on May 15 in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda has led to the postponement of the 18th US-Africa Business Summit originally scheduled for July 26-29, 2026, in Port Louis, Mauritius. The decision was jointly announced by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) and the Mauritian government, following WHO recommendations. Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam stated that the summit is postponed, not canceled, and enhanced health screenings have been implemented at entry points, barring travelers from affected regions.
