Agroforestry: Banks and public actors seek solutions to finance rural areas

The State-Private Sector Consultation Committee (CCESP) gathered public and private actors in Abidjan to improve access to financing for agroforestry businesses. Despite a financial inclusion rate of 97% in Côte d'Ivoire, access to digital financial services in rural areas remains limited, between 50% and 65%. Agroforestry businesses face challenges due to poor infrastructure coverage and the need to rely on cash for their transactions.
