Lubumbashi: Presentation of equipment for road rehabilitation and construction

Several civil engineering equipment for road infrastructure works were presented on Saturday, June 6, 2026 in Lubumbashi by the interim governor of Haut-Katanga, Martin Kazembe. Acquired with provincial government funds, these equipment (compactors, bulldozers, graders, etc.) will be deployed in towns and territories of the province to strengthen road rehabilitation and construction, especially for agricultural access roads. Some will remain in Lubumbashi, others will be sent to Likasi, and work will start next Thursday in Kasumbalesa. Several road projects are currently stalled, such as Avenue Upemba in the Katuba commune.
