Police arrest seven over alleged attack on Bauchi varsity students, recover stolen phones

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested seven suspects in connection with an armed robbery attack on students of Sa'adu Zungur University, Itas-Gadau Campus, at an off-campus hostel in Gadau. The suspects allegedly invaded Rahama House early Wednesday, injuring two students with machetes and stealing two Android phones. Police responded to a distress call under the Safe Schools Initiative and evacuated the injured to General Hospital, Azare. Commissioner of Police Sani-Omolori Aliyu condemned the attack and vowed to bring all involved to justice.
