Edo Govt seals poultry, piggery farms over environmental law violations

The Edo State Government sealed four poultry farms and one piggery farm for violating the State Environmental Sanitation and Pollution Management Law. Commissioner Nosa Adams reported that 30 defaulters have been prosecuted out of 93 abatement notices. The Federal Government, with World Bank support, will build three environmental laboratories in Benin City, Irrua, and Auchi, serving Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, and Ondo states.
