Man Claiming to Be Gachagua's Nephew Loses Bid to Overturn 20-Year Sentence

Jackson Kihara Gachucha, who claims to be the nephew of former Deputy President Gachagua, lost his bid to overturn his 20-year sentence for robbery with violence. The High Court dismissed his application for review, noting that the issues had already been decided by the Court of Appeal. Gachucha argued that the prosecution was a ploy to hinder his inheritance claims, but the court pointed out that his arrest in 2015 occurred two years before his father's death in 2017. The sentence remains intact.
