Mines: Cemac prepares a community code to strengthen governance and secure investments

The Central African Economic and Monetary Community (Cemac) held a regional consultation in Douala from April 20 to 25, 2026, to finalize a draft community mining code. This code will be applicable to the six member states of Cemac: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and Chad. The aim is to harmonize national legislations and enhance transparency in the management of mining titles while incorporating the specificities of each state.
