Missing N210trn: Senate dissociates itself from warrant of arrest on Mele Kyari

The Nigerian Senate dissociated itself from the arrest warrant issued by its public accounts committee against Mele Kyari, former GCEO of NNPC, for failing to appear over unaccounted N210 trillion. The Senate ruled that no committee may issue a warrant without the Senate president's approval, in line with the Legislative Houses (Powers and Privileges) Act. It also distanced itself from Senator Adams Oshiomhole's remarks calling NNPC a "bunch of criminals and thieves." The matter was raised by Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele.
