Mompha: Court closes defence’s case in alleged N6bn money laundering

The Ikeja Special Offences Court closed the defence case of social media celebrity Ismaila Mustapha, known as Mompha, in an alleged six billion naira money laundering trial. Mompha is facing charges of conspiracy to launder unlawfully obtained funds and was tried in absentia. Judge Mojisola Dada stated that the defence failed to produce witnesses and ordered the parties to file their final written addresses, with the next hearing scheduled for June 30.
