Nigeria: Lassa Fever - Death Toll Hits 191 As Cases Rise

The death toll from the Lassa fever outbreak in Nigeria has risen to 191, with increasing infections reported across several states. 23 states have recorded at least one confirmed case this year, with a heavy concentration in five states: Bauchi, Ondo, Taraba, Edo, and Benue, accounting for 84% of cases. The NCDC has activated an Incident Management System and intensified response activities, including training healthcare workers and community sensitization campaigns.
