Nigeria's Army Rescues 31 Hostages After Church Attack

The Nigerian army announced it rescued 31 worshippers abducted during an attack on a church in Ariko village, Kaduna state, during Easter celebrations. The assailants also killed seven people and several others were abducted. Despite a massive security deployment ordered by the police chief, violence continues to rise in the region, where criminal gangs known as bandits carry out mass kidnappings.
