The West Africa Civil Society Forum (FOSCAO) Côte d'Ivoire calls for the suspension of eviction operations in several communes of Abidjan during the rainy season and exam period. The organization argues that relocating families without providing housing exposes them to weather, diseases such as cholera and malaria. According to the statement, 176 neighborhoods in Abidjan are considered risk zones, and at least ten people die each year from floods or landslides. FOSCAO recommends relocation and compensation for displaced families.
