The EU plans to add 80 new entities and individuals to its sanctions against Russia, targeting the military-industrial complex, human rights violators, and propagandists. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas stated that sanctions have already cost Russia between $1.2 and $1.5 trillion. Hungary, under new Prime Minister Peter Magyar, has agreed to drop its opposition to a €6.6 billion fund for arms to Ukraine. EU defense ministers discussed the future use of this fund.
