Ogun NUJ, CDHR condemn assault of journalists, demand probe

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Ogun State condemned the physical assault of two journalists, state television correspondent Taiwo Fabajo and Channels TV crew members Bidemi Bello and Gbenga Osinuga, during a government enforcement exercise in Ogunguandong, Igbesa. Private security operatives attached to a Chinese company attacked the journalists. The NUJ and the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) demanded an immediate police investigation and prosecution of the perpetrators within seven days.
