Osun Guber: British Embassy, EU step up election engagement

The European Union Election Observer Mission and the British Embassy are stepping up engagements ahead of the August 15, 2026 Osun State governorship election. Austrian Ambassador Peter Guschelbauer announced the EU's plans during a visit to Governor Ademola Adeleke, stating the mission aims to promote democratic standards. Adeleke welcomed the intervention and highlighted investment opportunities in Osun. A British Embassy team is also expected for pre-election consultations.
