Oyo govt warns opposition against politicising Oriire kidnapping

Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, warned the opposition to stop politicizing the recent kidnapping in Oriire. He clarified that the 200 Amotekun Corps deaths since 2020 are unrelated to this incident, contrary to opposition claims. Only one injury was recorded during the kidnapping. Oyelade emphasized that Amotekun is the best-equipped security outfit in the South-West, with 2,500 personnel and modern vehicles.
