ADC crisis deepens as Kachikwu faction backs INEC, disowns Mark, Gombe

The faction loyal to Dumebi Kachikwu expressed its support for INEC's decision to withdraw recognition from the leadership led by David Mark. At a press conference in Abuja, the group also disowned factional leader Nafiu Bala Gombe, stating he did not emerge through a credible process. The group, made up of state chairmen of the ADC, accused former national chairman Ralph Nwosu of attempting to transfer the party to non-members. They stated that Mark and his exco had not been members of the ADC for the required two years as stipulated by the party's constitution.
