The 2026 Fiscal Policy measures and Tariff Amendments recently approved by the Federal Government are expected to boost domestic manufacturing and import substitution in Nigeria, according to the Centre for the Promotion of Private Enterprise (CPPE). The measures include revisions to the Import Adjustment Tax (IAT) and selective import restrictions aimed at enhancing manufacturing competitiveness. CPPE CEO Dr. Muda Yusuf stated that these policies represent a bold step towards economic restructuring and industrialization.
