Torrential Rains: Several Communes in Abidjan District Placed Under Orange Vigilance

Since Thursday, June 4, 2026, torrential rains accompanied by thunderstorms have been hitting Abidjan, causing flooding in several communes. The low-lying areas of Abobo, Yopougon, and Adjamé are particularly vulnerable. The communes of Cocody, Bingerville, and Songon have been placed under orange vigilance, indicating dangerous conditions with risks of flooding and landslides. Neighborhoods such as Djorobité, Angré, and the entrance to Bingerville are also under surveillance.
