The Nigeria Police arrested two suspects, Chisom Goodnews and Ahmed Adamu, involved in the vandalism of railway infrastructure, recovering materials valued at over N400 million. The operation took place on April 9, 2026, in Akwanga, Nasarawa State, where a truck carrying approximately sixty tonnes of railway tracks and sleepers was intercepted. Preliminary investigations revealed an organized network linked to the receivers of the stolen infrastructure. The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, commended the courage and integrity of the operatives involved.
