Port of Douala: Transit to Niger Exceeds 50,000 Tons in 2025

Transit traffic to Niger via the Port of Douala exceeded 50,000 tons in 2025, according to Jean Daniel Tientcheu, head of the billing control and marketing division at the Douala Autonomous Port. Although this volume is modest compared to the total transit traffic of 1,967,214 tons, it represents a significant advancement for the Cameroonian corridor. A delegation from the port visited Niamey in April 2026 to promote Cameroonian logistics offerings to Nigerien shippers.
