Property firm and church battle over Kirima-linked land

A Nairobi court dismissed rival applications from Makiyi Properties Limited and Salvation Healing Ministries church regarding land linked to the estate of the late businessman Gerishon Kirima. The dispute arises from a three-year lease agreement signed in June 2021, with the church accused of defaulting on payments. Following a court ruling declaring the land part of Kirima's estate, the church contested the legitimacy of the lease, claiming it was misled about the ownership of the land.
