2027: ADC Will Be on the Ballot, but Atiku May Not, Keyamo Says

Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, says the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will participate in the 2027 general elections. He said candidates nominated by the David Mark-led faction, including former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, might not appear on the ballot, depending on the Supreme Court’s final ruling. On Thursday, the Federal High Court in Abuja nullified Mark’s leadership and the faction’s decisions, including the presidential primary that selected Atiku. The ADC and Atiku have rejected the ruling and plan to challenge it on appeal.
