Four die, dozens rescued in attempted Channel crossing from France to UK

Four people died while attempting to board an inflatable dinghy off the northern coast of France near Calais. Mayor Christian Fourcroy stated that the group encountered difficulties while trying to reach the boat. Thirty-eight others were rescued, including one with a medical emergency, while the Boulogne prosecutor has opened an investigation into the deaths.
