Kane edges out Yamal to win award 3 days ahead of Ballon d’Or ceremony

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane tops Spanish newspaper Marca’s annual Top 100 Players ranking for the 2025-2026 season. Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal placed second and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé third, in a ranking compiled with input from more than 200 former players, journalists and analysts. Manchester City midfielder Rodri finished fourth and Lionel Messi sixth; three Paris Saint-Germain players made the top 10. Marca published the ranking three days before Monday’s Ballon d’Or ceremony.
