DRC: Ebola spreads in Ituri and North Kivu, response slow to organize

The town of Rwampara in Ituri has become one of the epicenters of the Ebola outbreak, with increasingly frequent scenes of mourning. Caregivers transport bodies to disinfected coffins while families grieve the loss of their loved ones, often misdiagnosed with other illnesses. Botwine Swanze lost her son, and Alicama Bitunda lost a child and her mother, whose symptoms were initially attributed to a malaria crisis.
