2025 Revenues: Cocoa Overtakes Oil as the Top Export Product, Driven by Rising Prices

In 2025, cocoa surpassed oil to become Cameroon’s top export product, accounting for 26.3% of export revenues compared to 22.9% for crude oil. This shift in the export hierarchy is attributed to rising cocoa prices in the international market, while oil exports were negatively impacted by falling global prices. Liquefied natural gas, cocoa paste and butter, and timber also feature among the main exports.
