Recomposition at the top: A look at the new lives of dismissed Pastef executives

Since April 2024, Waly Diouf Bodian, a historic Pastef militant, was appointed head of the Port of Dakar but was dismissed on July 16, 2026, after supporting Ousmane Sonko's presidential ambitions. Other executives, like Khadim Bamba Fall, chose to resign to avoid betraying their convictions. Bassirou Kébé, dismissed in February 2026, was quickly taken back by Sonko and appointed deputy secretary general of Pastef.
