Four rare mountain bongos have been returned to Kenya from the Czech Republic, where they were under specialized care. The reception ceremony was led by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano. The return of these animals is part of Kenya's National Recovery Plan for the mountain bongo, aiming to raise the wild population to about 700 by 2050.
