Stakeholders blame insecurity on proliferation of small arms, light weapons - Daily Post Nigeria

Security experts have attributed insecurity in Nigeria to the proliferation of small arms and light weapons smuggled across borders. During a seminar in Abeokuta, NCCSALW Zonal Director CP Abiodun Alamutu emphasized the need to mop up illicit arms already in circulation, estimated at around five million in the South-West. Ogun State Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni also called for better coordination in handling recovered weapons.
