Boxing: Michel Soro and Hassan Mwakinyo face off in Abidjan for the IBO middleweight belt

The international boxing gala 'The DREAM 1' will take place on June 10, 2026 at the Parc des expositions in Abidjan. The main event features Ivorian champion Michel Soro against Tanzanian Hassan Mwakinyo for the IBO middleweight title. Five other fights are scheduled, including two international bouts. Promoter Tidiane Touré emphasized that this is the first international boxing gala in Côte d'Ivoire in nearly 50 years.
