Blue Helmets Plant 200 Trees Around Bunia General Reference Hospital

On April 25, MONUSCO Blue Helmets planted 200 trees, mainly jackfruit trees, around the Bunia General Reference Hospital, in conjunction with International Mother Earth Day. This initiative aims to enhance the hospital's environment for patient well-being and raise community awareness about the importance of tree planting. Lodjo Kisembo, a hospital official, noted that these new trees will provide much-needed shade for the facility. Rachel Sikomo Kavira, coordinator of the Women and Children Association, encouraged community engagement in environmental protection.
