This is how we can get more young women into formal labour market

By 2028, the _Africa Youth Employment Outlook 2026_ report projects that the services sector will replace agriculture as the primary employer of young African women, potentially adding nearly $172 billion to Africa's economy. However, over 61% of young women lack access to the training needed for professional growth. In 2025, 63% of employed young women had only a primary education or less, while those with secondary or tertiary education were more likely to secure well-paying jobs. Investing in young women's education is essential to bridging the gender gap and enabling access to quality employment.
