Two armed groups attack and burn houses in Kikoti village in Bulungu

On June 6, 2026, two armed groups led by Nzembe and Ezoka attacked the village of Kikoti in Bulungu territory (Kwilu province). The assailants, mostly youths aged 16 to 30, looted and set fire to houses before being dispersed by an army patrol. Military spokesman Captain Antony Mwalushayi confirmed the attack and noted that the groups 'Monde Arabe' and 'Américains' have merged.
