Security guard axed amid ongoing investigation into Plattekloof assault video

A security officer has been fired after being implicated in the assault of a man in a viral video. Thomas Blatherwick, owner of ZoneWatch Security, confirmed that the officer was dismissed with immediate effect, while other officers linked to the incident remain suspended. The company is cooperating with the police and the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) as the investigation unfolds.
