African Union: Russia Ready to Support Opening of Representation in Moscow

Sergei Lavrov reaffirmed Russia's support for the opening of an African Union representation in Moscow during a meeting with Commissioner Bankole Adeoye. Russia has also strengthened its diplomatic presence in Africa with more than a dozen embassies opened in recent years. The announcement comes ahead of the next Russia-Africa summit, aiming to facilitate institutional contacts between the two partners.
