Lagos Govt makes resident registration compulsory for school admission

The Lagos State Government has mandated all public and private schools to require valid registration with the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) for student admission starting from the 2026/2027 academic session. This directive, effective from September 14, 2026, aims to establish a comprehensive and verifiable database of learners. Schools are instructed to capture each learner's LASRRA registration number and to raise awareness among parents about this new requirement.
