Morocco's Rabat Region Feels Minor Earthquake

Residents in Rabat and nearby cities, including Sale and Meknes, reported feeling a minor earthquake measuring 2.9 in magnitude at a depth of 10 kilometers. Additionally, a separate earthquake of magnitude 3.9 was recorded near the Strait of Gibraltar on March 17. Earlier this month, a magnitude 4 earthquake struck Morocco’s Sidi Kacem province, classified as ordinary by the National Institute of Geophysics.
