Airstrikes: Military refutes civilian casualty claims

The Defence Headquarters dismissed reports of civilian casualties during recent air operations in Shiroro, Niger State. Major General Michael Onoja stated that the strikes targeted armed bandits and terrorist enclaves, with about 70 bandits reportedly killed in Kusasu. The military asserted that the operations were based on credible intelligence and that civilians had relocated from the areas before the strikes.
