Woman rescued after giving birth by roadside in FCT

A woman suspected to be mentally ill was rescued after giving birth to a baby girl by the roadside in Kwaita village, Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory. The police were alerted by officers of the Rapid Response Squad during a routine patrol. The mother and her newborn were taken to General Hospital, Kwali, for medical attention and were later discharged in stable condition.
