French Parliament approves landmark assisted-dying bill

French lawmakers adopted a bill creating a legal right to assisted dying for adults with incurable illnesses, by 291 votes to 241. The law allows a person to receive a lethal substance under strict conditions, reserved for French citizens or residents with advanced or terminal incurable illnesses. President Macron welcomed the vote on X, recalling his 2022 promise. The bill still needs approval from the Constitutional Council to take effect.

Kikwit Military General Hospital receives three containers of medical equipment

The Kikwit Regional Military General Hospital (Kwilu) received three containers of state-of-the-art medical equipment on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
