Morocco, Portugal to Launch €800 Million Undersea Highway Project

The ambitious undersea highway project between Morocco and Portugal, with a budget exceeding €800 million, has entered a concrete planning phase. It will link Morocco to high-capacity roads north of Tangier and integrate with the Algarve network and the A2 motorway in Portugal. The main design envisions a double-bore tunnel with separate lanes for each direction and a technical emergency corridor.
