Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics: Senegalese athlete Worèye Ndiaye’s setback

Worèye Ndiaye, Senegal’s wushu taolu representative at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, has withdrawn from the tournament because of a knee injury. She received treatment in Dakar and spent the night at the Principal Hospital; her condition is stable, but medical examinations rule out a return to competition. She was due to contest her second event, barehanded taijiquan, after a much-noticed performance on the opening day.
