XENOPHOBIA: S/Africa should pay compensation — Amb. Olumoko

Ambassador Thompson Olufunso Olumoko condemned the violent attacks by South Africans against other Africans, particularly Nigerians, and called on the South African government to ensure safety and compensate the victims. He also pointed out that some Nigerians contributed to the violence by not respecting local laws and customs. Olumoko recalled that xenophobia is not a new phenomenon and cited historical examples of expulsions between African countries.
