Cameroon's banana exports reached 106,447 tonnes from January to May 2026, up 19.9% compared to 85,359 tonnes in the same period of 2025. The increase is driven by the two subsidiaries of the French group Compagnie fruitière de Marseille: Plantations du haut Penja (PHP) and Compagnie des bananes de Mondoni (CDBM). PHP's sales rose 19.5% to 76,093 tonnes, while CDBM posted the strongest relative growth to 12,326 tonnes, an increase of 39.9%.
