2027: Atiku will win Kano without Kwankwaso, ADC campaign declares

The ADC Presidential Campaign Council says Atiku Abubakar can win Kano State in the 2027 presidential election without Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s support. It accuses the former Kano governor of dividing the opposition and advancing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid after Kwankwaso called on Atiku to step aside for Peter Obi. Spokesman Kola Ologbondiyan cites Muhammadu Buhari’s victories in Kano in the 2003 and 2007 presidential elections and contrasts Atiku’s national networks with Kwankwaso’s regional influence. He also points to Kwankwaso’s fourth-place finish in the 2023 presidential election.
