2027: ‘Don’t vote and go home; stay until the results are uploaded,’ Amaechi tells Nigerians

Rotimi Amaechi, vice-presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), urged Nigerians to remain at their polling units after voting in the 2027 general election. In an interview with News Central TV on Friday, he told voters to witness the count, check the result sheet and wait for the results to be uploaded before leaving. Amaechi warned that politicians steal result sheets and put ad hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at risk. He said Nigerians had learned from past elections and that the ADC was ready to mobilize supporters nationwide to defend their votes.
