2027: ‘You can’t copy and paste Bangladesh in Nigeria,’ Shettima tells Peter Obi

At an APC presidential campaign rally in Akwa Ibom on Friday, Vice President Kashim Shettima criticised Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate. Shettima said Obi could not apply Bangladesh’s solutions to Nigeria without accounting for differences in population, institutions and economic structure. He accused Obi of relying on bogus statistics and incoherent economic proposals, and of confusing Nigerians over fuel subsidies. Shettima urged Nigerians to compare petrol prices with those in neighbouring countries.
